Albuquerque Event Photographer | LLS Man and Woman of the Year 2018

A few times each a year I get to photograph an event or gala, where I donate my services. The first of this year is the prestigious Man and Woman of the Year Awards at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. I was also honored to donate a Family Portrait Session for their silent auction.

The executive director for Albuquerque, Kris, reached out to me, and I was thrilled that I would be able to fit their Grande Finale into my schedule. I photographed Kris and her extended family this last December – I love making connections with so many wonderful people within our community, which enables me to give back to an organization that means a lot to so many people.

A little about the Man and Woman of the Year award- “Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States.  Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors. The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community.  The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the national Man & Woman of the year.” Mwoy.org

LeAnn McCracken and her husband Michael McCracken were announced as the winners! The first ever husband and wife to win in the same year.

A special shout out to, Arielei Kinzer, who joined in on the fun for the evening and second shot for the event. She did an amazing job. Thank you, Arielei!
