Albuquerque Wedding Photographer | Spring Engagement Photos
Last weekend I shot the engagement session of Ung Tae and Kim in the Bosque del Apache. Kim had seen other sessions that we had shot in this location and requested that their’s be there as well. They are getting married this September at the Hotel Albuquerque. She was describing to me some of the details of their big day, and it sounds lovely. They’ve decided on a string quartet, and an outside ceremony. Kim just finished fashion school in California, and Ung Tae works here as an engineer. I think their unique style is really showcased in their photos.
Two different outfits were brought for both of them. We recommend this, to give you more choices when it comes down to deciding on your favorite photos. Keep in mind, that there may not be proper changing places if we’re shooting outside. Our couples are told to think about where we’ll be shooting, if we’re out in nature, you clothes should reflect the feel and colors of the great outdoors. However, if we’re shooting in a more urban location, consider dressing in something more edgy or dressy. Whatever you decide to wear, it should be something you’re comfortable in (so that you’re not tugging, pulling, and adjusting), and something that speaks to who you are.
Shoot locations are important because it helps set the mood. It can be a place that means something to you, or a place that is so beautiful it transports you. It can be where you first met, or where the proposal happened. Think also about where you like to spend time together. Is it outside hiking, or at a museum? Maybe you’re more of a brewery and food truck couple, or maybe you like to take walks around your own neighborhood. In summary, wherever it is that speaks to you, we want you to be comfortable, and love the location.
A thought about having your makeup and hair professionally done: If you plan on having professional make up on your wedding day, the engagement session is a great time to schedule your make-up trial day. In addition to taking stunning pictures of your wedding day, we can help with recommendations of stylists. We have great professionals that we have worked with in the past, and who know how to style you to bring out your best features.
I love the fun, fashion forward, free spirited style of this couple. Their pictures turned out gorgeous, just like they are, and their wedding will be!
