Albuquerque Wedding Photographer | Los Poblanos Lady of the Most Holy
Today, we’re sharing with you the wedding of Patrick and Courtney. These two lovebirds were married at the church of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, with a reception that followed at Los Poblanos.
We like to meet with our couple before the big day to get a better idea of the pictures they would like to make sure we get. Everyone wants group pictures, and some formal. The question becomes, which groupings are the most important to them. For this wedding we did black and white ‘getting ready’ pictures. The black and white really help the detail shots pop! Although we weren’t allowed to use a flash inside (common for church weddings), we switched to using a flash during the reception. Formal family pictures were taken at the church, following the ceremony. Once at Los Poblanos we got lots of fun group shots, even some the included the groom wearing the bride’s train!
The colors were lovely with the bridesmaids in purple, and groomsmen in light grey with spring green accents. The groom wore a darker grey suit. We love the purple shoes the bride wore, that matched her girls’ purple dresses.
The reception was full of great details. We love the idea of disposable cameras on the tables! What a fun way to get your guests involved in capturing the evening. Patrick and Courtney had a Polaroid station set up also. Guests could take a quickly developing polaroid and stick it in a guest book. There were games on the lawn, and activities during the cocktail hour. Another neat touch was the champagne glass charms. Each champagne glass had a removable charm, and each guest was encouraged to take their glass home with them. There was even a glass wrapping station.
The night finished with a naked cake, courtesy of Los Poblanos, and lots of dancing! A great time was had by all!
