In order to pull off a surprise wedding, a lot of planning goes into it. A very few people knew what was going on. Only those who needed to fly to be there were privy to the info. Mike greeted their guests in a D&S apron, while Nicole and the kids hid away. Once the guests had arrived, thinking it was a typical D&S dinner, Mike snuck away and changed for the wedding. When it was about time to start, Mike brought his mom and Nicole’s dad into the back room. They were then brought in on the surprise. Mom and Dad were totally blown away, and couldn’t have been happier!

The guests were brought out to the porch where heaters and blankets awaited them. Mike read his vows from his phone, while Nicole opted for the more traditional route of reading from paper. Orange September was the wedding officiant. The sweet couple shared in their intimate elopement ceremony on a balcony in a NE heights home during a beautiful New Mexico sunset!
