Every year, the girls and I have a tradition of going to the International Balloon Fiesta. The Fiesta is held here locally in October, and people travel from all over the world to attend. If you have never been, it’s well worth the visit.
The girls and I woke up early and parked at Intel, in order to take part in the park and ride system. As the sun started to warm the sky, everyone could tell that the weather would be perfect for the Special Shape lift off. And lift off they did! After a quick cup of coffee from Piñon coffee for me, and hot cocoas for the girls, we were ready to find our favorite balloons. Ava loves the Day of the Dead balloon. Lauren loves the motorcycle balloon, which unfortunately we didn’t see. What we did see were quite a few new balloons. A realistic head balloon, that came all the way from the Netherlands, was painted in the style of Van Gogh. Another newer balloon was in the shape of a Beagle, and called Beagle Maximus. Too Cute!
Every family has their traditions, and I love that this is one of ours.
