Newborn photographs of your family are treasured heirlooms, passed down for generations to come.
Whether it’s your high school graduation, engagement, wedding, or welcoming a newborn, all occasions should be celebrated and captured with timeless photos. We have access to a cell phone camera 24/7 and are snapping photos of everything, but how often are we printing those photos? Or are they just saved to an external hard drive, waiting to be sorted through “one day” when you have time? Sure, they are wonderful memories, but when are you ever going to admire them again? More importantly, what if your cell phone kicks the bucket, or your hard drive crashes? Do you have a printed copy of that photo somewhere, or is the photographic proof gone forever?
In a digital world, where does that leave prints? The prints you frame and hang on your walls for everyone to admire. After all, there is something very special about walking into a home where the family photos are proudly being displayed. If you are like me, every few years you sit down at your parents, or grandparents house and thumb through old photos. Maybe you have even reminisced over black and white pictures of your grandma as a “young girl” and have taken the precious time to learn about your heritage. Perhaps your grandma even jokes about how she looked so skinny, but felt so fat when the photo was taken. Do you notice your grandmother’s weight in old photos? I bet not one bit, but instead you admire the young lady, who created a beautiful family, and the woman you have always admired.
When your friends and family visit and meet your newborn baby, can they also touch and hold timeless images? Do you have grandparent gifts to give your doting parents, so they can proudly show off their new grandbaby? What about the family that lives far away? Did you take the time to mail them a print, or perhaps a newborn announcement? Those are the memories I want to help you create. The kind of tangible heirlooms you will pass down for generations to come.
NOW is always the time to update your family photos…especially when it comes to celebrating the love and blessing of a newborn baby.
